Andrew Marcus is a dancer and visual artist. He has been focusing on possibilities of improvised performance since 1985. Artistic Director of Andrew Marcus Performance since 2001, .over the last 20 years he has developed Sensation and form, a physical approach to dance composition and Technique for a Soft Body, a Training in movement technique and alignment. He has been teaching and performing nationally and internationally since 1990. From 1992-2001 he was adjunct faculty at the Experimental Theatre Wing of New York University. Among the many influences on Andrew’s work are Klein Technique, Alexander Technique, Body Mind Centering,™ and Contact Improvisation. Andrew earned an MFA in dance from Arizona State University in 2008 where he developed choreographic strategies for technologically mediated interactive performance environments and taught choreography and improvisation. www.amperformance.org
Wilma Vesseur (Netherlands, Switzerland) is a dancer, performer, Certified Dance Teacher and BMC Practitioner/Teacher. She co-founded and directs SubsTanz, Atelier für Kontemplativen Tanz in Trogen, CH 1995. SubsTanz organizes her international Training program „Die Tanz-Weg-Begleitung“ in Switzerland, Holland and Germany. Her Choreographies for Circle Dance made her well-known throughout Europe. Wilma is developing her own work beyond established Forms of Dance by performing and teaching since 1990. She studied New Dance (SNDO, Amsterdam), Body Mind Centering® (Amsterdam and Massachussettes, USA) and Sacred Dance (NL). Study and Research in a variety of Bodywork, in Authentic Movement and in Butoh provide additional sources of inspiration for her dance. www.SubsTanz.ch
